Strip of bobbin lace with symmetrically arranged sparse tendrils around medallions

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, old Flemish lace. The repeating pattern consists of an oval medallion on the center line alternated by a pointed oval medallion along the top edge and directly below it a rhombus-shaped medallion along the bottom edge. Around the medallions are arranged in a symmetrical manner sparse vines with C-shaped splits and with small oval knobs. The motifs are connected by a lattice ground, a five-hole ground. The sparingly applied solid work is made in net stitch and in linen stitch with few cutouts but with openwork edges. In the medallions one type of decorative ground is applied. The top side of the strip is finished straight. The bottom side is finished straight with picots.
