About this work
King Asa and the people of Israel sacrifice seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep and goats to the Lord. With a loud voice they swore loyalty to the Lord. Thereby they cheered and made music (horns, panpipes, tambourines). In the foreground left a boy with panpipes. The print has a Latin inscription with verses. Bottom right a reference to 2 Chronicles 15. Bottom left numbered: 11.
