About this work

Extinguishing the severe fire between the Elandsgracht and the Elandsstraat in Amsterdam, caused by lightning on the night of 27 July 1679. Fire engines are used from various houses to try to extinguish the fire. To illustrate skillful fire fighting with hose fire engines. With five-line caption in Dutch and French.
