About this work

Bronze medal. Obverse: an atelier where, under the watchful eye of Minerva, two men and a child devote themselves to various branches of industry. Reverse: a crowned coat of arms, surrounded by a cartouche, flanked by two mermaids representing Art and Industry, jointly holding a leafy wreath above a cartouche with the year within an inscription.
