About this work

Issue of the satirical magazine De Notenkraker of 25 May 1907, first year, number 21. Cover with an illustration of Social Democracy cleaning out the parliament in Austria, like Hercules cleaning the Augean stables. Part of a complete first year (1907). Each issue contains 8 pages, partly still not cut out, with a caricature by Albert Hahn on the front and Hahn's prints interspersed with the text on the remaining pages. In the letter 'D' of the title, a head of a so-called nutcracker is depicted.
