About this work

Issue of the satirical magazine De Notenkraker of 30 November 1907, first year, number 48. Cover illustration of an unemployed man looking through a window from the street at a rich entrepreneur eating in a restaurant. Part of a complete first year (1907). Each issue contains 8 pages, partly still uncut, with a caricature by Albert Hahn on the front and Hahn's prints interspersed with the text on the remaining pages. In the letter 'D' of the title, a head of a so-called nutcracker is depicted.
