Flintlock pistol

The tail of the lockplate and the cock (restored) are engraved in bas-relief with floral scrolls; the lockplate bears a signature. The barrel has an iron front sight bead; stamped at the bottom with an undecipherable mark. The restored stock is of blackened walnut; inlaid with twisted silver wire; the trigger plate is of ivory; the butt cap is inlaid at the bottom with an ivory plaque. Apart from the forked iron trigger guard at the front with baluster-shaped ends, the furniture is of silver and engraved with floral scrolls and branches; consisting of a pan cover and two round ramrod tubes; the ebony ramrod is fitted with a silver cap and suite with the pan cover.
