About this work
Very long pistol for ca. 1660. The tumbler of the lock is stamped with an M. The barrel is fitted with a ring and stamped at the back with the coat of arms of Amsterdam. The stock is simply carved. The iron furniture consists of a loading band, two ramrod cases, a loop-shaped trigger guard, forked at the front and ending in a leaf, and a butt cap with a knob; the ramrod is fitted with an iron cap.
