About this work
Belt pistol. The lockplate is engraved with the maker's name, the inside is stamped with an emblem consisting of two serrated lines. The barrel is stamped on top with the coat of arms of Amsterdam and at the bottom with MT and GE(?); brass front sight. The stock is simply carved and stamped with LC. The brass furniture consists of a band, a ramrod tube, a thumbplate engraved with MARINE A=1800, and the trigger guard; the triggerplate and belt hook are of iron; the ramrod is of wood.
