Sword with silver hilt and scabbard

Dress sword. Silver hilt with faceted decorations; the counter-guard has a border with an engraved zigzag pattern; the knuckle bow is stamped with the city mark of Amsterdam and the mark of the silversmith SDM; the wooden grip is wrapped with twisted silver wire of different thicknesses and has braided grip rings at the top and bottom. The blade has a hollow-d triangular cross-section and is etched with leaf and flower vines and on the carrying side with a panel with the address of the sword graver. The leather scabbard is covered with thin white vellum; the silver furniture consists of two bands, each with a carrying ring, the upper band engraved with a rococo cartouche with trellis work, the middle band with a flower; the lower band is unadorned.
