Box covered in green leather with the insignia of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Oak Crown (Ordre de la Couronne de Chêne), Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, awarded to Prime Minister W. Drees. The insignia consist of a badge with sash and star. The badge is a white-enamelled Teutonic Maltese cross in gold, with a raised medallion in the heart containing a crowned W in Gothic script (after William II, King of the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg, who founded the order in 1841) on a green background with a diamond pattern and within a golden frame. The badge is worn on a sash that is broom-yellow with dark green stripes, colours that stand for the green oak forests and the blooming broom bushes in Luxembourg; the part where the badge hangs forms a rosette.
