About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with his right hand, the barrel pointing upward, before placing the weapon on his left shoulder. In his outstretched left hand a burning match; on his left wrist a fork (musket fork). This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
