About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, shaking a musket (a specific type of firearm) with both hands to remove any powder that may have fallen out of the pan (the powder reservoir). In his left hand, besides the barrel of the musket, a lit match. This print is part of the series of 42 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
