About this work

Map of Japan on a scale (1:5 million) with part of China and Korea. Along the coasts, the depth is indicated. The various islands and countries are colored by the borders. At the center and right, a colored compass rose. On the sea, four ships. At the top, an explanation of the degree division, framed and colored, flanked by three putti. At the bottom right, five Oriental men, three of whom with weapons, one with a bunch of flowers, and one bent over.
