About this work
Mechanical log consisting of a chip log in a box and two log paddles, one of which must be attached to the chip log on the reverse side with a log line; the second log paddle serves as a reserve. The log paddles are cylindrical floats with three screw-shaped wings, which drive the chip log in the direction of the clock. The round chip log has three enamel dials, for 1 mile (subdivided into sixteenths), 10 miles and 100 miles. [combined description]
