About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: woman in Roman attire with a diadem on her head, representing Industry, holds a laurel wreath in her outstretched right hand and rests her other hand on a coat of arms within the inscription; lower edge: year and signature. Reverse: inscription above a crowned coat of arms within an oak wreath, to which three cartouches are attached containing a plow, a three-master, and a steam engine. The medal is marked with the Mercurius staff of the Rijksmunt.
