About this work
Rigged and polychromed frame model of a schokker. The model has the typical thick, straight, falling bowsprit with a disc at the end; the bow round is pointed. Pointed stern with straight falling sternpost, broad rudder with curled rudder head and wooden helmstock that can be secured on a tiller bar. The ship has a foredeck, open cabin with bun and afterdeck. The lower skin courses in the sides contain a grate for the bun. The skin is smooth-sided; the ship is a flat-bottom with centerboards. The model has a windlass or foredeck. It is sloop-rigged with mainsail and foresail and has a ring for a bowsprit against the bowsprit.
