About this work
Round mast with octagonal top and topgallant yard; the donkey's head is missing. The mast itself consists of an octagonal masthead surrounded by eight sides. The parts are held together by two hoops. A number of short planks around the mast form a flat platform at the front, the ears with clamps supporting the shrouds on the sides, and a half-octagon at the rear. The topgallant yard is round at the front and is supported by the topgallant yardarms. The topgallant floor is closed with planks, secured with clamps on top. This model can be disassembled. This mast is made according to the 'Dutch method' (see NG-MC-127).
