About this work
Model of a section of an octagonal mast with a square top, shrouds, donkey's head, and topmast. A deadwood supports the topmast on the longitudinal shrouds; in a row of teeth against the mast, a pal is set on the foremost cross-shroud, intended to catch the topmast if the mast windlass rope breaks.
