About this work

Model of a device to test the strength of rope, incomplete: the baseboard and various parts are missing. It consists of a framework with on one side a gear mechanism (ratio 12.25/1) with a screw end, on the other side a hydraulic pump. The rope is stretched between the two and tightened with the gear mechanism. The pump is a cylinder with piston and an outlet on top. Next to the outlet, a lever is mounted on a support. Glue residues indicate that on the near side on the cylinder housing a similar support had been attached.
