Half Model of a 12-Gun Brig

Polychromed plank-covered half-model (starboard side) of a two-master. Eight gunports plus two in the transom, all on one deck; the deck is closed. Bow elaborated with figurehead and stem figure of a gilded scroll. The elliptical transom, decorated with moldings and gilded foliage, has two gunports, no side galleries; rudder with round rudder head (American rudder) and rounded rudder blade. Sheer flat, the wale is sunk into the planking, one wainscot. Framed with round spars. Scale 1:40 (scale on model).
