About this work
Polychrome model on a baseboard, representing a raft. With this pile-driving rig, the piles can be driven vertically and obliquely. The rope of the pile-driving block goes from a capstan through a sheave at the bottom of the rig to a sheave at the top. The piles guiding the block rest on two planks, which can be pushed in and out of the baseboard, thereby determining the pile-driving angle. A rope runs through a second block in the top to which a pile-driving pile hangs.
