About this work
Speed meter in the form of a stoppable hourglass. The upper part contains the hourglass bottle in a round brass casing. With a lever, this bottle can be opened so that the sand can flow to the lower part, where a long viewing glass with a scale next to it is attached. At the end of a measurement, the hourglass is stopped.
