About this work
Sash of orange cord silk, faded, with stains and holes, in the technique of "Egyptian braiding". Label with the text Lt. Colonel J. W. Kerkhoven attached. Both ends of the sash are together (woven or stitched?). On one side, five vertical bands are attached; on the other side, six vertical bands are attached, from which long fringes hang, each provided with a button at the bottom.
