About this work
Sash of orange cord silk, in the technique of Egyptian braiding. Both ends ending in a ball, surrounded by a network of the same fabric. From the balls originate long fringes. Each fringe has a knot at the bottom. On one side a leather label with no. 4 is knotted. Worn by General Baron Chassé, defender of the citadel of Antwerp (1832). Attached wax seal with the family coat of arms of Chassé.
