About this work

In a black frame behind glass, a copper relief depicting a skiff being rowed to the shore with several standing men inside; on the beach, an enthusiastic crowd. Reverse side: green felt with a label bearing a guarantee against forgery, signed by the artist. Inscription; border text: 1813 1863 G. K. VAN HOGENDORP. A. F. VAN DER DUYN VAN MAASDAM. L.
