About this work

Oval copper ornamental knob with iron stud. Wooden, slightly curved, partially ribbed grip. Silvered copper ornamental ring. Copper ricasso. Parrying guards in the form of dog heads. Copper guard plate. Steel double-edged straight blade with fuller and two grooves on each side. On the heel, on one side stamped: COULAUX A & ... Other side: Klingenthal (2x) B with crown in oval, D with crown in oval. Straight black leather scabbard with silvered copper upper band with oak branches, bow, bundle of arrows, hunting horn and oval carrying knob. Same metal ornamental lower band with, among other things, oak leaves, bow, bundle of arrows, spear, boar's head and quiver.
