About this work

Cavalry pistol with percussion lock and double smooth round barrels, part of a pair. Marked ELG and various assay marks. On the barrel the number `174' and on the lockplate right: `JOHN DONAGHY' and left: `AMSTERDAM'. Slightly engraved. Brass thumbplate. Decorated grip. Carrying ring on the buttplate. On the upper barrel a sight bead and on the side of the barrels an iron ramrod.
