About this work

Cavalry pistol with percussion lock and double smooth round barrels, part of a pair. Marked `ELG' and various inspection marks. The number `174' is on the barrel and on the lock plate to the right: `JOHN DONAGHY' and to the left: `AMSTERDAM'. Slightly engraved. Brass thumb plate. Carved grip. Carrying ring on the lock plate. A front sight bead on the upper barrel and an iron ramrod on the side of the barrels.
