About this work

Turkish saber. Hilt of black ebony or ivory. On the blade inscriptions in openwork inlay, right: J.B. BARON DE SALIS, RESIDENT DIENERGIE REMBANG, left an inscription in Malay (see diary). Scabbard of sharkskin with silver fittings.
