About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: young man, representing the son from the marriage, performing a sacrifice above a burning altar, illuminated by heavenly light from clouds and crowning with a floral wreath two coats of arms hanging from a pillar within inscription; lower edge: date. Reverse: inscription under a cloud, upon which lie a coat of arms, laurel wreath, fasces with axe, scales, sword and shield in which a snake bites, and a cartouche with the number (XXV), above a burning torch, quiver and bow within inscription.
