About this work

Medal with a hole in it. Obverse: Peace with an olive branch in hand empties a cornucopia; beside her a bale and a vat; in the background ships at sea within an inscription. Reverse: Britannia with a shield sits under a tree, from which a shield and sword hang; on her lap rest a crown and a medallion of George III, above which she holds an olive branch; at her feet lie a lion and a lamb next to a sheaf of corn; before her a genius with a filled cornucopia shows her a plate with an inscription within an inscription; truncation: year.
