About this work

Photo album with 44 pages, of which the first 17 pages are filled with 65 cartes-de-visite. Each page contains four passe-partouts decorated with a embossed border for cartes-de-visite. Portraits of unknown men, women, and children, presumably from one family, are depicted. The photographs were taken by various German photographers, including Ernst Wolffram (20) and Jean Baptiste Feilner (5). The photographer of 12 photographs is anonymous.
