About this work

Photo album in red binding, half leather and half linen, with the word 'Album' in gold printing and relief on the front cover. The endpapers are made of blue-green paper. The album contains 98 leaves with a total of 108 photographs. The prints are attached to the leaves with colored paper strips, with the corners tucked behind. These are photographs of sights in Florence, Rome, Vatican City, Genoa, and Pisa: mainly churches (interior and exterior) but also squares, buildings, and excavations from Roman times. Additionally, there are photographic reproductions of works by Raphael, Tintoretto, and Murillo, and portraits of Pope Leo XIII (pontificate 1878-1903).
