Satirical print on the interference of Louis XIV in the English succession, 1689. Nursery where Queen Maria of Modena lies in bed and is visited by a German doctor who examines her urine. In the middle an angry Louis XIV (Harlequin) who is held back by William III, left three Algerians or Turks. In the foreground left cardinal von Fürstenburg receives an enema, right the child Jacobus Frans Eduard, the supposititious child (the Prince of Wales) with a windmill by two Cupids who take an oath of silence.
