About this work

Elijah rides to heaven in a fiery chariot, drawn by two horses and driven by an angel. He raises his hand to the prophet Elisha left behind and his mantle falls from the chariot to the ground. According to the biblical text in 2 Kings 2:11. At the bottom of the margin, two two-line texts in Latin and Dutch.
