About this work
Apollo the Sun God sits on his chariot drawn forward by four horses. Around him dance the Horae, the goddesses of the seasons. Before him float a putto with a torch and Aurora. Scattering flowers Aurora drives away the night and brings the dawn. Center bottom a coat of arms. Inscription and two-line text in Latin in the lower margin.
