About this work

Aurora sowing flowers rides in her chariot drawn by two horses. Every morning Aurora drives away the night and brings the dawn. Hovering before her are the Horae, the goddesses of the seasons. On the right, Aurora's husband Tithonus watches her. Inscription in the lower margin and a coat of arms in the center bottom.
