About this work

In an interior a rich man sits with his family and guests at the table. Through the doorway on the right the beggar Lazarus can be seen, whose sores are licked by a dog. To the left from top to bottom three smaller representations with the death of Lazarus, his ascension to heaven and burial. To the right three smaller representations with the death of the rich man, the rich man in hell and his burial. After the biblical story in Luke 16:19-25.
