About this work
In an interior, a rich man sits with his family and guests at the table. Through the doorway to the right, the beggar Lazarus can be seen, whose sores are being licked by a dog. To the left, from top to bottom, three smaller scenes with the death of Lazarus, his ascent to heaven and his burial. To the right, three smaller scenes with the death of the rich man, the rich man in hell and his burial. According to the biblical story in Luke 16:19-25.
