About this work

Along the top the title and the coat of arms of the Watergraafsmeer water board. Top left the coats of arms of a main landowner, the dike reeve and two heemraden. Top right the coats of arms of a main landowner and three heemraden. Bottom left a cartouche with a Latin text and a scale bar: Measure of 200 Rhineland rods. Surrounding it Neptune or a river god, putti with various attributes referring among others to trade, the coat of arms of Amsterdam and a female figure with a swan. Bottom center the coat of arms of the secretary and treasurer. Bottom right a cartouche with a Dutch poem about the Watergraafsmeer and a scale bar: Measure of 200 Amsterdam rods. Surrounding it putti and a river god.
