The penitent bride (Sponsa) washes her hands in a basin held by Repentance (Poenitentia). Confession (Confessio) and Satisfaction (Satisfactio) look on. In the background Justice (Justitia), Chastisement (Castigatio) and Piety (Timor Dei). In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
