Fire in a house on the Oude Schans in Amsterdam on 5 December 1658. The facade of the house collapses and kills firefighters and bystanders. Bystanders flee in panic in front of the house. To illustrate the old method of fire-fighting and the dangers associated with it. With four-line inscription in Dutch and French. Plate 4 in Jan van der Heyden's Fire Engine Book.
