About this work

Display of the Covenant of Princes. Part of the displays performed on June 23, 1648, at the Schouwburg in Amsterdam following the signing of the Peace of Münster. The sixth display shows how two princes (Philip IV and Frederick Henry?) swear an oath on a peace treaty. Behind them stands Peace, holding a laurel wreath above both. In the inscription, a six-line verse in Dutch.
