About this work
Depiction of the cruelties committed by the French troops in Dutch villages in the year 1672, copied after the prints of Romeyn de Hooghe from 1673 (FMH 2439). The depiction shows the murder, mutilation and rape of the inhabitants. On the left inhabitants fleeing from the burning village. On the right fights in front of a house. The print is numbered: 4.
