About this work
On two stone tablets stand the 19 articles of the newly issued civil rights. Above the tablets Father Time, Minerva and the personifications of enlightenment and equality around the all-seeing eye in a rayed halo. Below the representation a Dutch verse in which the roles of the different figures are explained.
