About this work
Naval battle at Cadiz between two Dutch frigates Castor and Den Briel and two English frigates Flora and Crescent on 30 May 1781. The English ship Crescent hopelessly shot by the Dutch frigate Briel under the command of Gerardus Oosthuys; in the background, the other two ships. In the inscription, a seven-line verse and a reference to pages 156-157.
