About this work
A house on the Herengracht in Amsterdam where a fire raged during the night of 25 to 26 April 1683, but which was preserved by timely extinguishing with hose fire engines. To the left lies the bridge for the Hartenstraat. Later state (with the letter) is plate 14 in the Firefighting Book by Jan van der Heyden.
