About this work
Landscape with Minerva and the owl as a symbol of wisdom. Minerva wears a plumed hat, holds a spear and leans on her aegis (shield with the Medusa head). In the frame an inscription in Latin referring to the role Minerva played in the Judgment of Paris. She is one of the three goddesses Paris had to judge and offered him victory in the struggle. Print from a series of six with Gods and Goddesses.
