About this work

The troops of Bourse drive the German soldiers of Treslong and Merville out of the citadel, 1 August 1577. Justice in the clouds. Depicted in a round medallion with an ornamental allegorical frame, with the seated female personifications of Providence (Providentia) and Constancy (Constantia) at the top. At the bottom, a cartouche with two verses of six lines each in French and Dutch.
